Meet Children's Author Sally Morgan

Sally Morgan was born in Malaysia but grew up in England, where she devoted her time to avoiding all organised sporting activities and sheltering from the terrors of the playground in the school library. Despite a casual attitude to both using a ruler and tying her shoelaces, Sally passed her exams and studied Literature and Classics at university.
 

Finding herself with qualifications befitting a well-read Roman, Sally ran screaming into the nearest bookshop. It was a job; she wasn’t just hiding near the pop-up books hoping to rediscover her happy place, well she was, but that was her job.

Sally enjoys writing children’s books because adult books tend to be very long and don’t tell you facts about where bogies come from or teach you how to do useful things, such as making a Viking helmet out of stuff you have on your desk.

Sally lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two children where she devotes her time to avoiding organised sporting activities and sheltering from the terrors of the playground by writing for children in her local library. 

Sally has written books for Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Little Tiger, Hachette, Lonely Planet and Arcturus.
